Rachel Bauer - E-Business & Marketing Consultant

I moved to Tauranga from Whakatane in 2003 to study at Tauranga Polytechnic. While I was studying I worked as an assistant in a curtain and soft furnishings factory and I graduated in 2005 with the NZ Certificate in Business and NZ Diploma in Business, majoring in Marketing.

I went on to study a Bachelor of Communications Degree at Waikato University, majoring in Marketing and Public Relations and graduated in 2007. I’d love to return to University at some stage to continue studying as I really enjoy it.

I started at Seeit in 2007 as a Marketing Assistant and after completing my Google AdWords training and passing the exam I am now a Google Trained professional. I focus on online marketing and how to make websites work for our clients and their businesses.

Both of these roles bring to the forefront my interest and knowledge in consumer behaviour – a subject that intrigued me during my studies.

It is extremely rewarding to see that people are interested by your ads, and click through to the website – I love being able to aid in driving traffic to a company’s website which is, in some cases, one of their biggest assets.

Outside of work I like music, reading, walking, beach volleyball, socialising, going to the beach and road trips.
